VTU was founded in 1990 as process engineering and environmental technology service provider in Graz with our inhouse pilot plant for process trials. We have steadily grown to become an international engineering and technology group executing projects in all over the world. Today 1.300 employees in 35 sites are spread across Austria (Graz, Kundl, Linz, Pinkafeld, Vienna & Villach), Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Poland and Romania. We have the greatest sustainability influence in projects when we may engineer processes and facilities together with our customers in which the consumption of energy and resources is kept as low as possible and innovative closed loop and recycling techniques are applied. At the same time, we are stepping up our activities in innovative projects e.g. the production and use of green hydrogen as feed stock and energy carrier, the chemical recycling of plastic waste, the recovery of solvents and other operating materials from waste streams and the reuse of recycled process water as a valuable resource. In this respect, we operate according to the principles of Green Chemistry, which means we are at the cutting edge of technology and beyond. This experience is of benefit to the environment when improving, redesign or engineering new sustainable process facilities – and thereby strengthens the competitiveness of our customers.
